A non-refundable registration fee is required to enroll your student(s) in the Integrated Programs. The registration for the ACxel afternoon classes will be applied to the cost of your class and is paid to hold your student's spot in the class.
The Registration Fee is per family, not per student.

ACxel Afternoon Classes & Summer Camp
$50 Deposit to Register and Hold Spot
Deposits for classes/camps will be credited to your account and held until the end of the class/camp as a deposit for materials or other miscellaneous expenses. Once all materials have been returned and fees paid, your deposit will be refunded or applied to your next class.
Tuition is calculated per family and is billed monthly for 10 months (August-May) for the Integrated Program unless you choose the Semester or Annual Payment Plan. If you pay your tuition in full by August 15, you will receive a 5% discount.
We divide your tuition over a full 10 months to offer the lowest monthly payment possible which means you will have a December payment. The ACxel afternoon classes can be paid in full prior to start date to save about 5% or you can opt for the monthly plan.
Sibling Discount: We offer a multi-student discount for families enrolling more than one student in our Integrated Program. Oldest student pays full price and remaining students will receive 10% off balance of monthly tuition. There are no multi-student discounts for ACxel or Summer Camp.
Block Schedule: We have found that our older students thrive when able to focus their study on one core subject each semester. The PREP and PILOT students take History one semester and Science another while integrating English Language Arts throughout the year along with their other coursework.
J-Term: Each year during this 6 week term starting in January, we select relevant or often overlooked topics of study. Every year includes a Black History focus and, in high school, Shakespeare. In the past, we have done Life skills, Spanish Immersion, Greek Mythology, the Industrial Revolution and Stock Market. We end our J-term with our Black History project and Culture Fair celebrating the cultures and importance of diversity.
Christmas Break: After Thanksgiving students tend to lose focus with the upcoming holidays. HLT does not meet in December other than for our Christmas Celebration and Service Week. We allow that time for families to enjoy one another and to focus on holiday traditions and teaching at home. Students reconvene after the new year.
