Students learn about sign language and deaf culture. Used as a tool for awareness, students use sign language to interpret music. Students will choose a song that has a deeper meaning and use it as their final project. Students are taught to direct their productions as they learn to express themselves through signing.

Students investigate a wide range of media and techniques, from both an historical and contemporary perspective, as they engage in the art-making processes of creating two-dimensional works, which may include drawing, painting, printmaking, and/or collage.
