"the goal of early childhood education should be to activate the child's natural desire to learn!" ~ maria montessori
H.O.P. - Hands-On Program for Early Learners w/ Mommy & Me Time
Guides: Julie Riddle & Donna McMorris Mondays 9:30 to 1:30 for children ages 3 years old to Kindergarten. Students must be 3 by August 1. $129/mo
Utilizing Montessori’s principles of child led learning, independence and freedom of movement within the learning environment combined with Charlotte Mason’s love of living books, children will HOP into their learning adventure by developing the skills necessary for all future learning; coordination, concentration, order and independence.
Areas of the learning environment include art, practical life, sensorial/science, language arts and math. Through the activities in these areas, children will develop the foundational skills needed for future academics as well as develop beginning literacy and numeration skills.
Your child’s day will start with a group circle time where they will learn songs, finger rhymes and have a time to share, followed by a morning lesson from one of the learning environment areas. They will then spend the next two hours interacting with the learning environment while receiving small group and individual lessons. The day will end with a Mommy & Me time where a parent is invited to come experience their lessons for the week and learn how to extend the learning to the home learning environment.
