Students needing additional support and learning in foundational concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and fractions.

Students needing either Foundations (upper level multiplication and division, fractions, percentages, etc) or Pre-Algebra will meet during this class time.

Algebra I or Geometry

Students needing either Algebra I or Geometry will meet during this class time.

Pre-Foundations Math  Students will attend a 2 hour class weekly for 30 weeks. Two to three concepts will be introduced each class time using various learning styles. The students will then use those concepts to complete assignments that are posted on Google Classroom in the classroom and at home. Students will be equipped with the math tools to meet all of the challenges of Pre-Algebra and Algebra, Whole Numbers, Fractions, Decimals, Percents, Integers, Geometry, Charts and Graphs, Problem Solving, and more. Prerequisites include a good understanding of multiplication and division as well as having addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts memorized.

Foundations Math  Students will attend a 2 hour class weekly for 30 weeks. Two to three concepts will be introduced each class time using various learning styles. The students will then use those concepts to complete assignments that are posted on Google Classroom in the classroom and at home. Students will be equipped with the math tools to meet all of the challenges of Pre-Algebra and Algebra, Whole Numbers, Fractions, Decimals, Percents, Integers, Geometry, Charts and Graphs, Problem Solving, and more. Pre-Algebra Students will attend a 2 hour class weekly for 30 weeks to complete course. Two concepts will be introduced each week during class using various learning strategies. Assignments will be posted on Google Classroom and the students will complete those assignments both in the classroom and at home.  To ensure success in Algebra, Exponents, Scientific Notation, Probability and Statistics, Equations, Algebraic Word Problems, and Coordinate Systems are a few of the essential topics that students will master. Prerequisites include the ability to manipulate fractions, decimals, percents and understanding how those are used in real life situations.

Algebra I  Students will attend a 2 hour weekly class for 30 weeks to complete one full credit course. Three concepts will be introduced each week using various learning strategies. Assignments will be posted on Google classroom and the students will complete those assignments both in the classroom and at home. Short-concise assignments will encourage students to complete the work in a timely manner. Concepts include a quick review of Pre-Algebra concepts, solving equations, graphing and analyzing linear equations, inequalities, polynomial functions, rational expressions, radical expressions, geometry, and quadratic equations. Prerequisites include Pre-Algebra or an 8th grade math course that prepares students for Algebra. 

Geometry  Students will attend a 2 hour weekly class for 30 weeks to complete course. Two to three concepts will be introduced each week using various learning strategies. Assignments will be posted on Google classroom and the students will complete those assignments both in the classroom and at home. Concepts include a basic review of geometry terms and concepts, area and volume of geometric shapes,surface area, radicals, pythagorean theorem, axioms, postulates, theorems,and  proving triangles. The prerequisite for this course is completion of Algebra I with a 2.0 or higher.
