$229 per 10 Week Session Instructor: Juliana Kyzar Recommended Grades 7 - 9 Tuesdays 2:00-4:00 Students will take a 10-week tour through various science topics and be introduced to 3D printing, basic electronics, and coding, as well as more traditional science concepts. With different topics, students will have the opportunity to choose between technology-based projects (based in Minecraft or other computer software) or art-based projects (in a variety of physical or electronic media) for individualized exploration of the class topic. A personal laptop is recommended for this class. 9th grade students can earn 1/2 credit elective if all projects and work is completed. |

$229 per 10 Week Session Grades 9 - 12 Instructor: Juliana Kyzar Thursdays 2:00-4:00 Biology Lab is a 10-week course that can satisfy the lab component of high school biology. Laboratory exercises will include microscopy work, dissections, and writing lab reports. The topics covered will include: characteristics of living things; chemistry as it pertains to living things; essential macronutrients in living systems; cytology; mitosis and meiosis; chromosome duplication and protein synthesis; Mendelian genetics; taxonomy and use of dichotomous keys; and a survey of each kingdom of living things. |
