Here is the site you need for the homework:
(edited on Saturday. Website reorganized and first link broke)
Click on "find out" to get started, and design your own plane.
Make a screen capture, photo from phone, or note from parents to confirm final design from "Design and Fly Own Plane" activity.
Week 1 work: Hopefully everyone completed their name tag if not,
#1 Sign up for a TinkerCad account, complete the Learn lessons, making sure you customize the name tag. Directions for this assignment are still posted on this webpage (previous post)
I will be messaging each one of you to check on the status of your name tag (confirming that you printed it, asking if you need help, or setting up a time to print it).
The rest of this week's work may have been done in class. If not, that is your homework this week:
#2. Create a table of the seven base SI unit/quantities. Give the name, unit, and unit abbreviation (for example mass, gram, g). Turn this in in class next week.
#3 Measure 10 different items in metric units (grams for mass, meters (cm, mm, km, etc. for length. Turn this is in class next week.
#4 Read about your scientist on www.famousscientists.org If you do not like your scientist, you are more than welcome to read over the top 100 popular page on that website and look for another. You will be using this scientist for projects this semester (info later).
